Questions
Questions
carried on the current
of the wind
blow through time
moving us forward
gentle against our backs
the wind
rages across spaces
biting against our faces
dreams of the world to come
break hard against the
rocks of reality
like the tide
crashing rhythmically
onto the craggy cliffs
questions
bob and dive into the
cold ocean
like seagulls
searching for food
crying aloud
to open heavens
answers
echo in the distance
quiet suggestions
touch down lightly
then disappear
like the crest of
the eternal rolling tide
ever rushing towards us
then gone as we reach out to its
beckoning call
hope
an island of refuge
over seas of despair
lonely dove searching
for land
a place to rest
dreams of the world to come
break hard
against the rocks of reality
